Kelechi Iheanacho

It shows the player the we're backing him aswell.

Kelechi is hardly going to be happy at the lack of gametime and seeing his club request that report is a huge sign of support.

Will this guy play for the first team next season? Would it really be such a risk to have an 18 year old as the 4th choice striker? Especially since we seemed to have switched to one up front towards the end of last season.

I'm very confident he'll be with the first team squad next season. We may play two up top on occasion but with Sterling and De Bruyne likely to join and Yaya staying, there's enough goals in the side to not require 4 strikers as we have had previously. It may be that we bring someone else in but he's shown glimpses of real talent and should be included in the squad as 3rd choice striker and an alternative no.10.

If We get all our targets in I don't think he'll be getting a whole lot of game time at city, i'd say send him out on loan but again theirs no guarantee he'd play a lot of games if he moved out on loan, I just feel at this stage of his career he needs to keep playing regularly. And no way hes going to be 3rd choice striker ahead of edin.

Assuming Edin is still here, & plays better than he did last season. I'm not convinced about that.

It's looking like we may be changing shape, if that is the case & we only have two senior strikers, then Kelechi, as a No 10 or striker, has a decent chance of getting some games, as, if Edin does stay, he will sulk like fuck & be shit if we play one striker & he is behind Kun, & Bony. If we are changing to one up front or 433 etc, it may be better to get shot of Edin & have kids like Kelechi & Rony Lopes who are hungry to play, as backup for the attack.

They may try Kelechi as a wide striker in a '3' in the EDS too, which would give him another possible position.

I hope he stays here & we use him.

Me too id really Hope he stays here and contributes. But if your going off what edin's agent has said then it doesn't look like edin is leaving us any time soon. This pre-season am guessing is going to be a very vital one as regards hes (nacho) city career.

Looks like Dzeko and Jovetic are leaving and we're not being linked with any strikers. Even though we'll mostly be playing with 1 up front seemingly next season we still need at least 3 strikers. Looks like Kelechi will be getting a fair amount of game time.
