You mean the Sturridge who only scored 6 goals for us? He was much better than Iheanacho who has tripled his tally in a similar amount of games. Really? Infact even a peak Sturridge has only bettered Iheanacho's tally once.Funny really Sturridge a much better player at his age never asked to leave City yes he wanted an improved deal but not to this extent. Yet he's the "greedy bastard and people are saying pay this lad what he wants on a handful of games and goals.

Three years left then. I would see how he does this season before committing to a huge basic fee. Obviously if we can tie him down now it's better but there's no way we should be giving him 100k plus.

Lets wait for something concrete to happen before we start writing him off! It's just rumour and speculation at this point. In all fairness he is worth a lot more now than he was 12 months ago and it is logical to assume their might be some discussion on a new deal. I also get the vibe from the lad that if there was nothing doing he would still get his head down and work hard as he seems very genuine to me. I assume he knows that he has a long way to go and now is not the time to burn bridges and undo the hard work he has put in. Lets wait and see!

How sure are you that he has such an attitude i.e. he has demanded this huge increase as at the moment, I haven't seen any hard evidence he has made such claims?
