Great news.
Needs a loan move for play time. PL side if possible
Because Kelechi has been more of a 10 before playing mainly ST for us, I can see Pep using him as a false 9 versus certain teams. Post January it will be interesting how Pep positions Gabriel Jesus who's looked much better on the wings during the Olympics while also playing more as a ST for club. Having Gabriel Jesus, Kelechi and Sané gives Kün a rest to avoid injury.Kelechi's biggest problem is he's caught in limbo... not good enough to displace Aguero (who is), and not enough depth in the squad to let him leave on loan. So he might not get enough game time to reach his potential. I hope the club has a solution for this.
A breath of fresh air to have that attitude, fair play to Kelechi.Kelechi Iheanacho: "I don't know about that news (transfers). All I know is that I'm still at Manchester City, I'm still a City player."
Iheanacho: "So all the news that's going on about teams wanting to buy me, I try not to know about that."
Iheanacho: "I shouldn't be complaining that I'm not getting games. We are one squad, a full squad so everyone is not going to be playing."
I like his attitude but at this point in his career he needs first team football week in and out. If he can't get that with us he really should be thinking of at least a loan.
Isn't Guardiola supposed to be Mr Youth? Mr Holistic Management? He hasn't shown any of this in his first year, imho. At both Barça and Bayern he brought through and played the youngsters, and we are supposed to be highly focused on development these days. So, when we have such a homegrown talent as Kelechi - how is he not a first team regular?
Because he isn't good enough at the moment. We can't play youth just for the sake of it. The academy will bear fruit in the coming years but it's unfair to expect Pep to just rock up in his first season and throw in kids just because some of the fanbase want to see them.Isn't Guardiola supposed to be Mr Youth? Because he's not better than other players we have in his position perhaps???!?!......Isn't Guardiola supposed to be Mr Youth? Mr Holistic Management?
