Kelechi Iheanacho

Might out a bet on him scoring more league goals than Lukaku....wonder what odds I'd get.

When he was playing regularly he had a much better all round game.

There's a reason they're insisting on the buyback clause, he could easily have a 20 goal season like Lukaku at West Brom, and I think the "poacher" tag will be gone within months as he stares regularly and gets room to show off the other parts of his game.

Yep. I genuinely think if he gets his confidence up early it could be a rapid assent for the boy.

Good luck to the boy, I thought he would really take off under Pep but it never really happened for him.

I can see him turning into a very good striker and giving Leicester the firepower to really challenge the Rags for 6th place.

Kelechi needs some time away from City and Leicester seems to be the right club to kick on.

Not seen much of him, but he's shown glimpses of talent. Much like our very own Origi in truth.

Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho is close to making a £25m move to Leicester City.

The 20-year-old Nigerian is in advanced talks with the Foxes and is thought to be keen to make the switch.

Iheanacho has scored 21 goals in 64 games in all competitions since making his debut for Manchester City in 2015.

Last August, he signed a new contract until 2021, but saw his playing time limited by the January arrival of Brazil forward Gabriel Jesus.

Gotta have a buyback clause in there, but otherwise would be a good move for him and decent way to cash in on someone who will struggle to get games for us and barely played last season.

Love Nacho, and will be rooting for him to succeed if this happens. Of course, if he does I am sure there will be a queue of whingers within our fanbase about selling a popular young player and seeing him flourish. As much as I do love him, he struggled to fit into our style of play, as he needs to work on his first touch and team play, and with his lack of versatility to play out wide compared to the rest of our players, and Kun and Jesus and likely someone like Alexis, he cannot get games.

This would be a good deal for us, and the best we could hope for with our realistic goals this season.

£25m is a great deal and we can use that money to chase our top targets (that 9th transfer that was discussed), kind of hoping we've been cheeky enough to ask for a buy back clause.

Would have been interesting to see if we could have used him to sweeten the pot for Sanchez, with Giroud going they'll need a 2nd striker to go with or back up Lacazette.

Would be Good move for the club and for Iheanacho. I personally dont rate his "overall" game as much as most on here but agree a "buy back" might be a nice option to have if he keeps improving with more game time....

Leicester have met Manchester City's asking price of £25m for Kelechi Iheanacho and a deal appears increasingly likely. [@JPercyTelegraph]

I think they're perfect.
I'm sure the game time will do him the world of good wherever he goes and he has plenty of potential so will probably do ok at Leicester but I can't help feeling he'd be better at a club where they try and play a bit of football.
