Kelechi Iheanacho

Kind of get your drift, but kelechi has some of the best stats in world football which is nothing we've ever witnessed and is a full blown international, which was never the case with any of our up and coming.
He isn't ready by any means for pep to consider him as a starter, but the proof will be in the pudding, when Chelsea let lukaku go they didn't even consider the kind of clauses we are insisting on, that's how highly we regard him as a club.

Fair enough. So would you favour a year loan possibly to another premier club to see how he fairs starting every week. His minutes per goal are skewed somewhat by always being a sub. I could buy into seeing how he fairs elsewhere for a year.

Agree, but a fully committed player giving his all to his new club is probably better than one who's loaned out and doesn't quite have his all in the club he's loaned to, a bit like Roberts who is clearly in limbo and torn between two clubs.

Surprised Everton haven't had a sniff if they are selling Lukaku. Think if they got Rooney and Kelechi for Lukaku plus £50m in the bank they would be laughing.

God no. I don't mind losing Kelechi to a Southampton or Leicester, ideally with a buy back option, but i couldn't stand to see him play for Everton. Horrible club, horrible fans, still haven't got over the fact Lescott wanted out to win trophies.

Everton have just signed Sandro Ramirez and Onyekuru and already have Calvert Lewin and Lookman. They seem stocked for young strikers with potential. If they bag shrek and possibly Giroud they will have a good mix of experience and youth to push for top 4. Can't see them wanting Kelechi at this point.

Rumours of 30 year old donkey, Giroud, going back to France for £25 million. Proof if needed that Kelechi is under-valued at £25 million.

The fee is a sensible one, if he had of been priced higher we would not have been able to insert a buy back clause IMO. No club will have wanted to pay out 50m without owning the player outright.

selling Iheanacho is not good for manchester city and the youth academy it sends out the wrong signal to young players they need the dream and parents need to be sold on there kids coming to manchester city. yes i know its sometimes not just about turning players out for the first team squad and we have the best setup in england at youth level to your sons got the best chances at being a pro footballer if they come to manchester city they will get the best chance and training

yes a very good fee and i hope city have a buy back clause but this lad done very well in the short space of time at manchester city and scored goals so there is nothing else other than game time in the team he needed. and this is going to look daft if sanchez signs for anything over £50million and does not hit it off or gets a long term injury yes Iheanacho could also have the same deal at leicester city it could go both ways but l never like us selling our best youth players

He wasnt going to get any game time with Aguero and Jesus in front of him

I certainly didn't laud him. Thought he was a prospect but had a lot to do to make it at the top. I've seen it time and time again at our club. Players lauded as you say but never fulfilling their early promise. I remember Gary Mason was going to be a world beater and that's without mentioning future England captain Barton and mainstay for years Richards. And there are plenty more examples.

In my opinion people are getting a little carried away with Jesus already. Seen many "ballon d'or" "future superstar" and "will be better than Mbappe" comments on here. And god I hope he is. But he has just arrived, played a handful of games in which he has been great in a few but struggled in a few as well.

Pep has blooded many youngsters that have gone on to big things. He has worked with Kelechi for a year now and if he thinks he can do better then you have to respect that. I think £25m represents a fair price in this market. Especially with buy back/sell on options.

Agree with all of that John and your later comments about his stats being skewed.

If he gets regular game time and scores, then I'll eat my words, but I just see a good but very raw talent. To become the best these days, it isn't all about scoring goals, as Sergio has found out this season. Kelechi's movement and workrate need to improve as does his close control.

Putting it bluntly, unless there are injuries, he is not getting game time at City and he needs this at this stage of his career.

I wish him the very best of luck and hope to see him back in Blue in years to come.

Truth is he's not good enough for us, best of luck to him

What message? Come to us and you will eventually have a platform to sign for a very good Premier League side who won the league 2 seasons ago? It's not like we have ruined his career we have given him a platform to go on and play in the best league in the world.
