These things keep changing over time and I'm not sure if what I'm about to say still applies but it used to be 2 years to obtain indefinite leave to remain, you could not leave the country for more than 2 years at a stretch or else you lost your right to enter the country and you could apply for British citizenship after 5 years of first entering the country.

5 years to get ILR these days (assuming you meet the English language requirements and pass the stupid life in the UK test).

so let me get this right say in 3 years he is scoring for fun and Barca come in and want him Leicester say they want 100m for him how much do we get or do we have to buy him then sell ?

We get nothing. There's no sell on clause. We have first refusal at whatever the stated figure is. If somebody else wants him, we will be told of a bid and will be presented with the option of resigning him there and then for the set amount otherwise Leicester are free to sell to whoever they want. In that situation, we'd almost certainly buy him back and either keep him or sell him on for a profit

If nobody else bids for him during that time, we're in a position where we can activate his buyback for the set fee at anytime from now until whatever date the two clubs have a agreed upon it expiring.

Not sure if there's another thread on this but, I just read that he's having a medical today.
I'm seeing figures of 25m with a buy back clause of 50m. Any truth to these figures?
Presumably they have to give us first option at the agreed price. Good buisiness it's true, but I must confess that, though I'm not as passionte as Neville Neville about seeing more of our youngsters given first team oppertunities, Natural goalscorers are a very rare comodity, so, purely from a playing point of veiw, Nacho is someone I'm really sad to see leave

If so you would think we will be bringing in another striker for sure before the season starts.

A central defender and a holding midfielder will complete the picture.

Can't see us starting with only Toure and Ferny in these holding positions although Gundy can play a role here I think he is a few weeks off yet and given his injury record we need a walk up start in this role.

Well, at least it wasn't Navas like for Sevilla.

Leicester have a diamond in their hands, no doubt about it.

The very best of luck to the lad and oh....Kelechi....if they say you have to wear a bandage on your hand tell them to get fucked! ;-)

Great player. I feel quite empty about this. Such a good lad with the right attitude

Does what he is capable of and we'll activate that buy back clause. It's a bit of a win win for us, almost like loaning a player out but receiving a big fee for it. If he performs he'll be back in a few years, if he doesn't then we got good money for him.

Good luck Kelechi. A great professional and a very good player. Hope he smashes it at Leicester and I'm confident in that he will.
