If we suddenly come into the need for a elbow-leading donkey then I'll revisit this thread to give my full support. Maybe we could sign Charlie Adam, Bob Huth and Thuggy Skrtyl too and give up the passing game altogether, just go out to maim.
Until then, no thanks. City are already a target for some refs it seems, so putting Davies up front would only give them justification. He's a bit like Crouch in that he leads with his elbow into challenges, Crouch suffers when European refs are in charge as he's always getting called up for a foul, so I can't ever see when we would play Davies if he signed.
I would genuinely prefer us to get David Platt out of retirement and up there ahead of Kevin bloody Davies.
