When we signed KDB i was dubious over the fee and thought he was probably £25m too much , well what do i know ? In the years i have watched gods own club i have never seen a more complete box to box midfielder since Colin Bell , if KDB can keep injury free (unlike Colin the KIng) he will become an absolute legend and coveted by every club in the world. Hopefully when KDB signed his recent contract there was a transfer fee clause " £ all the money in the world" , because there isnt a better midfielder out there.

+1

He now has more Premier League assists (38) than Eden Hazard (37) , despite playing 106 fewer games.

His comments about having to play a lot might be something to keep an eye on.

No one has played more for us this season, he's played in 33/36 games, and for an average of 83 minutes in each one.

That's a ridiculously high amount of game time for a creative midfielder who puts himself about as much as De Bruyne does, I think we'll need to give him some well deserved rest over the next month or two to make sure he's still at his best for the business end of the CL and cups.

His performances have dropped off a bit compared to the early months of the season IMO, not in terms of form or ability, just he seems to be conserving himself a bit compared to in the autumn when he was going at it full tilt. I thought it was particularly noticeable that he was back up to those energy levels against United and Spurs following his Abu Dhabi holiday the week before, and he annihilated them.
