Stellar player.

The word world class word is banded about too lightly for me. .

But he is absolutely in the world class bracket.

Shame he couldn't give us another final hoorah this year as age and injuries have finally caught him up!!

His goal against Chelsea away 17/18 was the pick of his best goal for us IMO.

The best for me. I still think he could give more and the club should have kept him but I guess we have to come to terms with it. Going to be a really emotional farewell this one.
There won't be anyone who will create like King Kev did, not in Manchester not on this planet.

Im just glad I was able to make it over and catch a few matches with him in the squad. He is a legend and without him we wouldnt be where we are.

Thanks for everything Kev. It still bugs me to this day that he never got his moment in a champions league final. Build him a statue, and let him go get a paycheck for a year or two. The last pre-Pep player gone. Makes me sad.

Yes we are not surprised but we are gutted to hear this news so sad to see the end of a wonderfully gifted player at our club, top 10 all time player almost impossible to replace just like David silva.

Classy on and off the pitch, he's been my favourite player for years.
Ball-striking, vision, decision-making. A complete player, who improved those around him no end.
Please let him score the winning FA Cup final goal.

Is it a huge ("massive", even) surprise? No, not really. And the timing is probably right. It's clear he no longer has the energy levels required to play week, week out in a Guardiola side. I wish him (and his family) nothing but good things going forward, whatever course he chooses to take in his career. The outstanding player in the Pep era, in my opinion.

Sad but time waits for no man. At least we will have the opportunity for a proper farewell. Hopefully with him raising the FA Cup. When arrived I worried that he could not fill Yaya's boots - he did that and more.

The term legend is used far too often in football. But this guy truly is. An absolute artist and one of the very best players I have ever seen. I think he even pips the great Colin Bell if nothing else for the unbelievable trophy haul we’ve had with him in midfield. I think at this point we just say thanks for everything Kev. It has been an absolute pleasure to watch you play for our team. Statue incoming!
