What a player. Arguably the best ever in that position we've seen in the Prem. As a Gooner I'll be glad to see the back of him but will also remember what an incredible player he was - unstoppable at times.

Wish him all the best.

Some of the most memorable moments of this period have had you at the heart of them. The one that stands out most for me was in the final game of the 21/22 season. How you managed to reach the loose ball ahead of three Villa defenders, who were all closer to it than you, and then make a perfect cross for Ilkay to score the winner, is something that will always stay with me.
This.

Just had to watch highlights of this again - it's funny, watching it now, it feels like there's no way , even from just 1-2 seconds before he first touches the ball, that he should have been able to fashion Gundo's tap-in from that situation. Yet...

Because it was Kev, I remember, at the time, going into slow-motion premature celebration as soon as he was first to the ball, as though it was inevitable he'd do something. And Boy, didn't he!

By the time Gundo popped it in, my eyes must have been like Keown's (apologies for soiling this chat with his name) , out on stalks.

I never thought we'd have another 'Aguerrrrooooo' moment, but there it was.

Who else but KDB could have done that, stay that cool, after what had just gone on before? Genuinely, stuff of legends.

His social media post appears heartfelt, and it has only increased my admiration for him. It's sad that he's leaving, but it's probably the appropriate moment. He's the best attacking midfielder in Premier League history in my opinion, and he's arguably City's best player of all time, albeit I never saw Bell et al.

I don't go on 'X'. Only went on now because of this news to see his statement on his own account. Reminded myself why I don't bother with social media apart from this forum when scrolling through the comments. Dippers, Arse fans etc piping up with the most ridiculous of statements. One even claiming Curtis Jones is better than him!! You'd think just for 5 minutes they'd cast rivalry aside and acknowledge one of/if not THE greatest players to grace the Premier League. I remember a few months a go when Joe Cole said he was above all three of Gerrard, Scholes and Lampard and he's played with them all. That's all the validation I need. Thought Vinny and Sergio leaving was a huge downer, but this really is a sickener. Irreplaceable.

He can afford plenty of shade and suntan lotion.

As he has stated before, he has to think about Saudi because it isn't just about him, it's generational wealth that benefits a lot of his friends and family.

Personally, I would like to see him go to New York, one of the great Cities and a league that he can still destroy on our behalf.

He's earned the right to take every penny on offer.
Absolutely he’s more than earnt the right to do what he believes is best for him & his family

The term legend is bandied around far too regularly but KdB is the real deal. A true once in a life time player

No better way to mark his tenure by winning the FA cup so he can lift one more trophy

Hopefully his next job is on sky sports and the first thing he does is sack spitty ratface, and the clown.

A lot of people saying Kev's chosen the right moment but from Pep's comment it seems he wasn't offered a new contract.
Therefore he was forced to seek pastures new.
