Made by AI and it's the wrong boot.

AND he's wearing the wrong kit.

I am a 78 year old woman and have supported City since I was 9 years old. I don't live in Manchester and never have but this team captured me in the 1956 Cup Final. When I lived in London I became a season ticket holder and over years have seen all the greats. I sadly can no longer afford a season ticket.
Kevin is best I have ever seen in our glorious blue shirt. He is the type of player who takes your breathe away.
I played for QPR women's team back in the 70's and recently, we as a team, were invited to the Football Museum in Manchester and I mentioned that I had followed City all my life and that Kevin was my all time favourite.
Someone must have said something to the club because I recieved a video message from Kevin.
I will always be grateful he took the time to do that. He will never know what that means to me.
Wherever you go Kevin, I wish you nothing but the best. We will never see your like again but I am so happy I was around to see you in City Blue. Thank you. Now win that cup.
That’s one of the best posts I’ve had the pleasure to read, bless you for sticking with us through thick and thin, I hope you can still travel up here to see the glorious blues now and again even though unfortunately you can’t afford a season ticket.

Can’t put it into words, we’ll never replace him. He is by far the greatest player to play for us ever. So many memories with him, I don’t know how we can possibly deal without him. I know it’s been a hard year for him and his performance’s haven’t been up to a usual standard but there is no denying he will be missed dearly. An absolute legend, will never be forgotten. We will miss you Kevin.

City and the Premier League's greatest ever for me. Deserves one hell of a send off. Would be fitting to see him go out lifting the Cup at Wembley.

Agree, if we don’t win the Cup I say he stays another year because he desperately deserves a send off, he deserves so much more.

Arguably the best midfielder ever to grace the PL. Been an absolute joy to watch him play and he will be missed. So many fond memories, my personal favourite is the amazing arched pass to Sane to score against Stoke. All the best for the future Kev.
You missed a Un at the beginning of your post.

Assuming that's Villa, 0-2, surely he tied both boots up, one after the other?
Even if he hadn't, I'd have one of those statues on my desk like a shot...

Edit: I'm being thick - you mean the wrong type of boot, don't you? I'd still love one, anyway.

Wish I could like this twice

In the early days of his City career, someone posted on BM that one day they reckoned a stand will be named after him.
One of the best all time mid-fielders.
Very heart felt post on his social media.
Can't thank him enough and wish him and his blue family all the best for their futures.

I remember the shenanigans leading up to him signing. It was chaos on here.
Kev was being hyped up on here to become the 'next big thing', while the media jonnies were rubbishing him.
So many players arrive at clubs on a surge of success and form that it's easy to get carried away with the hyperbole.
Kev exceeded all expectations of everyone looking on within and out of the club. He redefined the creative midfielder role.
A truly magnificent player that had everything. He literally had it all.
My heart hopes we find another diamond like Kev, but my head tells me he's a 'one in a generation' level player.
It is no coincidence that the best ever period of success in our clubs history came when this lad was in the engine room.
How blessed we are to witness true greatness.
The league, and football itself, will be worse off when he stops the top level games.
Thank you Kevin. You've made all the tough years (before the takeover) seem so much easier to look back on, knowing that such a bright shining light was at the end of the tunnel.
Good luck in your future.

Well I have no idea, xyou saidnhe deserved a statue, this lad has posted tgis.

I hope it is real as it is a great idea
Don't get me wrong I absolutely WANT it to be true. Just not sure it is, unfortunately

I haven't read all the pages yet but I will say two things. The midfield trio of Kev, David and Ferna was up there with the best of them.
Second my old man who passed away in 2018 used to say that the three best players he saw play for City were Doherty, Trautmann and KDB. I know some others will have a different view but it does put him up there with the best to have worn the shirt.
Gutted he is going but the greatest go out at the top.

What a fantastic player he has been. Some unforgettable assists and goals. I remember an odd game that we lost against Stoke his first season with us but Kevin was amazing that game. There and then it was very obvious what a player we had gotten. The assist to Sane against Stoke and the goal against Real in Madrid are two other occasions I’ll never forget. Thanks for everything Kev
