De Bruyne is the greatest player I have ever had the privilege to watch. And, I mean, the Greatest. I loved Sergio, I loved Yaya, I loved David Silva but Kev was a different level. Legend is the only word for this man.

I still find it mental that 2 giants like Aguero and Kev are even associated with little old Citeh
When I was a kid in the fifties 'n sixties and saw the players that other team had I often wondered when we were gonna get players of that calibre. Over the last fifteen years we've had the best, and Kev has got to be better than the best!

A very upsetting but not surprising message by The King II. To watch him struggle for form and fitness this season as been heartbreaking to see. The greatest player I have ever seen in a sky blue shirt deserves to go wherever he wants for as much money as he can get, because he deserves it! Thanks Kev, you were truly magnificent! P.S That Gobshite Mourinho knows a player when he sees one :)

Ah, what to say - one of the very best, fires the ball in like nobody I’ve ever seen.
Greatest ginger there is

I've heard Sky Soccer Special will have Phil Thompson on this weekend to remind us how right he was about KDB. He will tell us that, this seasons performances are proof that £50m was crazy, and he isn't mad as people think he is for making a statement like that.

I am a 78 year old woman and have supported City since I was 9 years old. I don't live in Manchester and never have but this team captured me in the 1956 Cup Final. When I lived in London I became a season ticket holder and over years have seen all the greats. I sadly can no longer afford a season ticket.
Kevin is best I have ever seen in our glorious blue shirt. He is the type of player who takes your breathe away.
I played for QPR women's team back in the 70's and recently, we as a team, were invited to the Football Museum in Manchester and I mentioned that I had followed City all my life and that Kevin was my all time favourite.
Someone must have said something to the club because I recieved a video message from Kevin.
I will always be grateful he took the time to do that. He will never know what that means to me.
Wherever you go Kevin, I wish you nothing but the best. We will never see your like again but I am so happy I was around to see you in City Blue. Thank you. Now win that cup.

Such a lovely post 'chickaroon', thank you for telling us your story, hope you are in good health and keep the sky blue faith, wherever you are now ... i used to watch City at Loftus Road back in the 70s, i always enjoyed going to QPR whenever we played there, and I didn't realise that they have even had a women's team for so long, but fair play to you for taking part ..... Kevin is a caring guy, a family man, and it doesn't surprise me in the least that he took the time to send you that video message.

Best passer and vision of a pass ever to draw breath on the planet, in his pomp his vision to see runs and the pattern of movement around him were just off the scale, cheers lad you certainly entertained us blueboys and leave a legacy naybe never to be surpassed

It was probably a mutual decision but I think Pep had to have the hard conversation reading between the lines at his press conference. What a career he's had at City. A truly world class player with a vision few possess and no mean finisher either. We can buy a replacement but I doubt anybody could ever be as good.

Lovely post. Send it to the club for Kevin to read, or put it in the programme for the last home match.
Love to seen his free kick again against Bournemouth when he rolled the ball under the feet of the players in the wall.
