WHO wouldn’t wanna take another year of 400k/week. Can’t blame him but yeah he‘s been injured and the club has to make a cut. Same with Bernardo , Grealish, Ake, Stones, Walker
And Gundogan.
If you sold that magnificent seven we would be battling for top half next season tbh.

KDB, Gundo, Walker and Kova all have to go this summer.
Stones, Bernardo and Ake the season after.
yes if people want us competing again it has to be this, but me maybe stuck with kova contracts and that.
ditto gundo

Ferran Soriano is a damn idiot. It's all I've been thinking about all day. After Agüero, now De Bruyne—he's truly the worst kind of cold-blooded bastard.
What has he showed you Palace apart that he can play to his abilities at the highest level?

His body is broken, can you not honestly see that?

KDB at 50 would be capable of incredible moments of skill.

Let him leave, enjoy the incredible memories he has left and move on, there will be new heroes in the future.

He turned out to be right about Aguero though! He was also clearly right about Gundogan. And he is already right about Kevin, and the season isn't even over yet.

The decision not to offer Kevin a new contract, may well have played a part in offering Haaland his contract. Just a thought.

Very true and you can see over in dipper land that having to pay two 33 yrs olds a king's fortune to stay another 2 years could come back to haunt them.

If true, an awful decision then... imo obviously.

As a side point, if we don't buck our ideas up, Salah and Van Dickhead have a high chance of leading the scousers to another title next season.

I think Pep has made it clear, he wants players who can be relied on to play every 3/4 days. Sadly Kev is no longer able to do this.

The alternative is a bigger unwieldy squad which Pep doesn’t want.

There is your answer. Those two are still leading their team, and still their top performers.

Kevin isn't ours ans can't really lead us to anything mate.

Look if you have read any of my posts on this season you will know I value each of these guys and am grateful for what they have given us and haven't turned my back on them at all. But that doesn't mean Kevin is a world beater in his prime that we are letting go to save some pennies.

It is the right time to go. He knows it, the club know it, everyone knows it. Let's appreciate what he has achieved here and done for/with us, and hopefully send him off with one or maybe even two more trophies.

He's an absolute talisman and the kind of player who will still be able to destroy teams when he's on it. Even if that's once every four games, I'd love for him to get a deal similar to Gundo, one year plus one, but no way the club backs down from this now.

Have to trust the club on this, but he's one of the few players in the world who would be worth this kind of risk, but ultimately I think Pep has it in his mind that we'd be lucky to get twenty games a season from him, and I know that him going off in the champions league final only highlighted his issues.

The one small factor in this is the club world cup. They'll be more willingness for him to be a part of that, which means we have to sit down and at least agree a month extension, so if the talks have to take place then maybe there's opportunity for more, especially if he's on fire between now and then.

He only turned out right because of an undiagnosed heart condition. Lets be honest Pep didn't treat Kun as well as he might have done.

I can understand why he would be disappointed because I would imagine it is not a straight forward conversation with himself to admit that he is not capable of playing at his previous level with consistency over a full season

He gave him the shock he needed to become an even better player.

Kun was a shocking trainer and did not look after himself away from the pitch, Pep put that right, I would love to have seen how good Kun could have been if he had worked with Pep earlier, he could have become one of the all time greats.

Everton Fans showed some class when KDB left the pitch

Yeah maybe they'd read rumours of them going for him for when they move into there new stadium next season!
