He's cold blooded but ultimately there's little room for sentiment in elite football. It's harsh but you need someone willing to make that call.

I think players like KDB have earned the right to make their minds up about staying or leaving.
Sentiment and taking out of the player's hands is wrong in this case, Has Pep and the Board done what's right, regardless of the money they would have offered KDB in a new deal and said it's time to leave ?

Yes, injuries and age and future plans with new players available this summer, So KDB was only going to be a bit part player at best next season, So City made the choice not to renew his contract,

For me Gundogan, Kovačić, and 2 or 3 others should be leaving, and KDB offered a new one-year deal.

On £400,000 per week? It’s the right time for him to go.

Like i said even City offer

Like I said, even if City offered him £200.000 a week, it would have been his choice and not Pep's or the board's

Gundogan and Kovacic were better today, I think the latter is fine for another season, he shouldn't be starting every game though.
All the older midfielders should go Bernardo does not effect the game these days! Kovo cannot defend or run back. Gundo same was brilliant but not anymore!! KDB again very inconsistent. Please Pep start only one of these.

Its a good time for Kev to leave, for him and the club. He is too big a player to be a bit part man, it wouldnt work. He wouldnt like and we wouldnt like it. Theres a narrative there you alluded to yourself. A good game and it would be City right to keep legend. A few duff games and it would be City holding on for sentimental favourite in hope he can swing a game. Nobody wins from it, and like it or not both City and Kevin de Bruyne are brands. Neither want damaging, and certainly not for the sake of one and another

Gundogan was let go once before and should be again over KDB, Kovacic can stay another season, Stones also should be leaving because of the injuries, The thing is, Nobody has asked KDB does he wants to stay or can he do another season, Injuries to KDB has given him a lot of rest time this season, The recovery has been hard but he said first time in a long time playing pain free, So maybe a review at the end of the season could happen

No sentiment in football if a manager (especially one of Pep’s calibre) says it time to go well then it’s time to go

I just feel KDB can still have something to offer next season, I think 3 or 4 other players are more injury prone or when Rodri is fit will not play, Gundogan being one of them

Without a doubt there should be others out there door before him. Last week proved he still can do this week proved he can’t do it every week. He’s on big money and I’m sure the board is looking at those wages knowing they’ll need to pay someone else that to try and fill his boots. I’d have liking him to stay as well but after this season it looks like it’s one season too many for a few of those players

NOT A CHANCE, that happened to the great 69 side and it set us back years.

There's no place for sentiment in elite sport.
