There is no positive spin available
Spin to what, wtf are you on about?

You think they just bumped into him in a corridor somewhere and said no contract for you and walked off?

There is no spin to be found here, so no idea why you and otheres are desperate to find a negative one.

He announced he is leaving. Pep has reminded everyone how important he has been for us. When the time us right, the club will damn sure do the same.

Everything else is pure conjecture.

Is this going to be like Gundo all over again, when even after he wrote a public letter detailing his decision, people kept banging on about some kfa tweet for months.

He wanted a new contract, believes he is capable of playing at the highest level and the club disagrees. Not at all a wtf post.. By any stretch...

Says who, some tweet or a podcast?

Of course he believes he can play at the highest level. Every player does. Doesn't mean the club suckerpunched him the way people make out.

He maybe can play at a high level, once every so often, when competing for things doesn't hinge on it. This season was already one too far for him though, and next season would have been even worse.

He has had significant extensions before, doubt he himself doesn't know his limitations, and the club's ambitions. He will get a thank you, maybe even a statue. You are looking for negatives imo.

When I said 'the way people make out', i did mean more than you fwiw. There has clearly been a context of that since that tweet, and I read your postcwithin that.

A touch harsh bracketing that in a response to you fair enough, but I am responding to the recent context and mood too.

My point does stand though.

Kdb has been brilliant for City, and City have been brilliant for kdb but now it's time to go their separate ways. Kdb can probably/maybe do a job for a team, but that team is not City.

Which is rather strange since he has played every minute since the decision. I have asked the club for the lottery numbers since they can obviously see into the future. Because weirdly Pep thinks he is good enough right now. He had a poor game yesterday but still had a brilliant cross that I think Dias missed at far post (not watched back) and created one other chance as well.

Maybe the issue is that that he doesn't have the physicality to play the number of games Pep wants?

It’s not weird though, is it? He’s good enough RIGHT NOW, because we don’t have any other options. Obviously Pep thinks we’ll be active in the transfer market in the summer and bring in players that will be able to replace him.

I doubt they put it that way.

It doesn't matter how they put it, No offer was made to KDB.
The debate has value for both staying and leaving, But Kevin should have been in control, and an offer made ?

Also, it's not sentimental or being ruthless, KDB has earned the respect of a new deal for me, Kevin should have that option, He probably would have turned it down anyway, merciless, cruel,

Will Gundogan and Kovačić play much next season ? Rodri hopefully back and Nico i think both will be sat on the bench all season, signing somebody that plays in KDB role will need cover, Somebody to come in and play a couple of games or change a game from the bench

Do you think that KDB should have been offered say a one year deal on 200k per week?
If so, would you have found it acceptable that season tickets and matchday tickets increased in cost to subsidise his wages?

Lol, we've just commited to paying Haaland 500k for 10 Years, is he deserving of that?

Ticket buyers didn't get a choice with that decision either.

Yes
We bought our first World superstar for what was a very low fee, so this was always going to be made up to Haaland in wages
And for the attention and additional revenue he brings to the business, it is value for money

Bit sad listening to his interview. But I think the club are in a position where they have to be ruthless now. They have admitted they went into this season basically gambling they’d get another year out of the senior players. And now they are thinking fuck that once bitten twice shy type of thing. He may think he’s fit and pain free and have a lot to offer but the club, the physios and the doctors will know they’ll truth. At his age and the injuries he’s had and the situation the squad is in at the moment as unfortunate as it is the club needs to take these hard decisions for the better of the club in the future.

It was a very brief meeting and Kev was told by Txiki that we werent extending. No bad blood between him and Pep obviously but he was definitely not expecting that.

I think its the right decision but you could argue that hes earnt the right to leave on his own terms. Club needs to move on and rebuild like others have said.

All that is nothing but personal conjecture and innuendo though.

Because ultimately people are obsessed with the idea of the club doing wrong by everyone.

also new director of football comes in, no emotional connection with the player (or the fans) and it's easy for him to make these kind of decisions.
