Mother-in-law had a bad tummy ache, went to see Dr. Week later got diagnosis of pancreatic and liver cancer, dead exactly one month later!

Here’s hoping it’s not pancreatic cancer and King Kev pulls through!

Get well soon KK. Below my city posters on my bedroom wall were a few England players also, KK was one of them. A cracking footballer, City manager and by all accounts fella.
I moved overseas in 99 so missed the resurrection. You brought the buzz back to to city and excitement that had my uncle Vic getting moist at the thought of your football.
This will be a bigger fight than falling off you bike this one mate but you’ll give it your best and I hope you kick it’s arse.

Saw him getting into his car after a mid week game at Walsall so, I wandered over to say thank you and he shook my hand, chatted for 5 mins and signed my programme.
He couldn’t have been friendlier or more accomodating. I will always have fond memories of one of football’s greats as a player and character.
Good luck Kev, here’s hoping for a full recovery.

My favourite non-City player as a kid, not just because of his first name either. The Norwich goalie Keelan didn’t quite have the same impact.

I would love it if he beats this, love it.

wishing King Kev a speedy recovery, great times in the early 00s

We’ve got Kevin Keegan,
100 goals a season
Na na na na, na na na na

I was in David Lloyd in Cheadle sat with the lady who owned the shop there, my son was having tennis lessons, she looked up and started talking to someone behind me asking about a racquet she had sold, I recognize that voice yeah it was Keegan dont meet your heroes they say as they turn out a disappointment, not this time. He was absolutely charming and humble told him my son was playing tennis which one? the one with the City shirt he immediately started banging on the glass telling him to come and meet him, my son was too shy (only 10 or so) to break way Anyhow he signed an autograph and gave me the pen back, but I handed it to Jean his wife she laughed and said he always does that.
I hope he makes a complete an speedy recovery he's a top man and a fighter. He gave us a great season of football played in the right way
Get well soon King Kev
