Kevin Keegan

That season we had under him in the championship (or whatever it was called back then) was an absolute joy to watch; the football was spellbinding. But he doesn't half talk some shite at times (therefore, a perfect candidate for the modern day football pundit).

I hold Keegan in high regard and have always had time for him. As soon as he became our manager I told everyone I know just watch us fly in 01/02. His team didn't disappoint. Shame we didn't get 100 points that year, but at least we got 100+ goals. That's how to win a title! A great season and memories.

The stick he is getting is out of order, we walked that league in 2002 and played teams off the park every week.

Keegan's biggest flaw is he thinks like a fan, you have to be a bit cuter than than that to be a manager.

Thanks for the memories Kev.

The best thing about this thread is no one has bothered to post the article

The OP `s opening sentence was MEN !

I don't get your point?
I think he means that the OP told you where the story was, and that if you are interested, you know where to locate it.

Then again, I could be wrong about that!

<a class="postlink" href="http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnews/sport/football/manchester_city/s/1472962_kevin-keegan-warns-pressure-will-be-really-on-if-manchester-city-fail-to-beat-fulham" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://menmedia.co.uk/manchesterevening ... eat-fulham</a>
Whats wrong with what he said? People are so sensitive on this forum, if ever any manager, player or whatever says anything remotely anti city someone will make a thread about it.

whatever he says, i'll always have some respect. i'll never forget the championship season when we demolished everyone with bernabia and berkovic in the team.

I find it hard to slate special k. He speaks from the heart and obviously apart from now, he gave me one of the best seasons I've ever had watching City in that 01/02 season.
'Theres a lot of soul searching to be done at this club', was classic special k.

^^^ I agree

(and just read that MEN article quoting Keegan and he's not having a pop at anyone; some people just seem to swoon like Victorian Ladies at times)
