Khaldoon's End of Season Interview

I think they are waiting for demand to increase a bit first to make it really viable, so it is on the back burner, but mind you don't get trolled for pointing out the obvious.

Going off the season ticket thread - we’ll be waiting a while if prices keeping going up and more and more regulars stop renewing.

So the question on stadium expansion was not really answered.
Other than that it was good.
Khaldoon Al Mubarak on the planned stadium expansion: "We've been working on it for a while. I'm a huge fan of safe standing, it's a huge part of the game. I would love to have a safe standing area. That would be great for the fans, players and atmosphere."

"There's planning, approvals, commercial stuff that we have to work on. All in the works. At the right time, when we are in a position to put something together, we will share it with everyone."

What many north west football fans don't realise is that for most of the 50s and very early 60s the Lancashire clubs in the 1st Division were City, United, Everton, Blackpool, Preston, Blackburn, Bolton and Burnley. Liverpool were floundering in the 2nd division for 8 years before getting promoted on the back of the Moores money in 1962.

I do wonder what world liverpool fans live in. It's a clear and present part of their history, what you've just put here.

When you hear them, and utd fans, talk about 'organic' and 'moral' growth, the level of oblivion really smacks you in the face.

I mean seriously, do they believe that they just threw open their doors to thousands of fans, generated huge revenue streams as a consequence and then invested it all back into the best players? It's a fucking fairytale.

What he says isn't going to get publicity though.

The media only pick misrepresentative sound bites out of his speech that will increase our unpopularity.

Like " all the other clubs are jealous of us and are racist".

Khaldoon speech was very measured and objective but that's not how it gets reported.

I am pleased to hear reports our owners cousin is looking to take over Newcastle. Hopefully we will have another friendly club?

What about a third team say West Ham in London? Martin Samuel's team. I dreamed of a rich owner taking over my club and taking it to the very top. My dreams came true.

Also perhaps the only way our owners can get fair publicity would be for them to get their own media outlets in the west? There is so much biased racist propaganda from the current British media outlets.
If Carlsberg did takeovers: "Sheikh Mansour agrees to take over Sky and Murdoch's media Empire"

Brilliant find. This definitely realigns the history of the football world pre-2008 which, as we know, was long the domain of the super-rich clubs who have long sought to airbrush it from the annals.

Istree la.
And an article written 13 years or so before human rights and sports washing existed.

In all seriousness though, he doesn't name names but did say this: “We know our requirements early on. Before the season is over we know what we need. And we’ve already started planning and making the necessary approaches”
Thanks mate, Mctominay the best Midfielder in the league coming, fucking wow.

Going to court is against UEFA rules. A club that takes this action will be suspended by UEFA for the duration of thw case, which may take years. Also, if you appeal to CAS, you have to agree that their decision will be final and binding arbitration.

UEFA Could suspend City but a court injunction will over rule

@karen7 I have been lucky enough to meet him twice Karen. Once when we had Jamie Oliver showing/testing out his meals & he was chatting to people and shook my hand & once when I was invited to the Chairman’s Club for a match. They probably couldn’t sell it out! :-)
