I could listen to him saying "Pooma" all day.
totally agree. i have no great love for newcastle, but i certainly like the sound of another team breaking up the top cartel teams.
its also saying a lot about city fans who are happy to welcome other teams to the top, even if it makes our job of winning stuff harder. we don't have that self-entitled attitude so prevalent with other teams, and i hope we never get it.
And what is America built on if not slavery and oil?“Sweatshop money” or “arms sales money” doesn’t have the same ring to it.
It was a joke, mate — I was pointing out not only the racism but also the hypocrisy, which included the inequitable treatment of clubs owned by Americans. And what is America built on if not slavery and oil?
You just have to look at how often it's referred to as "oil money" to know it's racism. Still not clear how "oil money" is any different from all other forms of money, yet you never here anyone elses source of money referred to, seems more like pretty obvious dog whistle stuff. Unless they are somehow against the selling of oil, which seems unlikely given we all buy the stuff.
It's good that they know that the money invested in us was taken from the account labelled "oil money" and not from the accounts where they keep all their money gained from investing all over the world in various other companies, like the billions they made from Barclays“Sweatshop money” or “arms sales money” doesn’t have the same ring to it.
And are unaware of where the money has come from for United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and a few others. It's good that they know that the money invested in us was taken from the account labelled "oil money" and not from the accounts where they keep all their money gained from investing all over the world in various other companies, like the billions they made from Barclays
Expansion sounds a long way off.
Thing is though, not sure if Newcastle voted for FFP. But either way the new owner won't be able to go on a spending spree like we did in the first few years after the takeover so it will be practically impossible to get to our level quickly, or ever at all
Last Christmas we gave you a start by the end of May you'd gave away
Going to court is against UEFA rules. A club that takes this action will be suspended by UEFA for the duration of thw case, which may take years. Also, if you appeal to CAS, you have to agree that their decision will be final and binding arbitration. The police might want a conviction but the CPS will say no if there isn’t sufficient likelihood of a conviction. UEFA can punish us but if CAS overturn the matter City may not stop there - they might go to the Swiss Courts and destroy UEFA. I’m not sure UEFA are aware of what they are dealing with and the downsides of them losing.
How’s that?
No offence, but that’s not the impression I got.
And it didn’t come over like that.
Perhaps it’s just me?
I got the joke but was adding in all seriousness my thoughts on what America was built on and by inference, Liverpool. It was a joke, mate — I was pointing out not only the racism but also the hypocrisy, which included the inequitable treatment of clubs owned by Americans.
