Khaldoon's End of Season Review | Pt 1 (p26) | Pt 2 (p40)

I am starting to wonder slightly if there is something in the charges that has filtered down to the players?
If it has then it’s not filtered down to Pep.
There’s no way Pep is putting himself through this mental torture if he’d heard something.
He’d have already walked.

Where the fuck is Khaldoon in all of this lately?

He’s the fucking invisible man until the end of season PR interview
He currently sits at the intersection of the most powerful political, economic and diplomatic functions of the state of Abu Dhabi and indeed now the entire UAE, a country that both the East and West are desperately attempting to court. As CEO of Mubadala, he personally manages their $300,000,000,000 investment portfolio across 50 countries and over 100 companies as well as leading new investment opportunities in companies around the world. This is when he's not the being the top diplomatic advisor to the current President of the UAE, whom he regularly accompanies in conferences at the UN or state visits.
Yet can still be found every Saturday at the Etihad, watching the fortunes of one of the hundreds of companies that he oversees an investment in.

But you don't support the team, all you and others have been doing is over the top criticism.

Now lashing out at the chairman.

Who’s lashing out at the Chairman? All I asked is if he’s gonna do an end of season interview then it would be good to ask him some serious questions about the recent failings in the club…. No one’s asking for his head but the fans deserve to see some transparency. I think he’s a great Chairman and we are lucky to have him but he should be held accountable.

I'm sure his reply would be "since I became Chairman, City have gone from midtable to become a dominant club in world football and we're going to continue to do that for decades to come and a month of bad results isn't even on our radar in terms of long term planning with this football club".

But a bit more Khaldooney sounding.

But that month of bad results is due to at least 2 years of complacency and poor judgement in the transfer market, the consequences of which have actually been clear to see coming for a long time prior to our disastrous loss of form.

Yeah but what else does he do, the lazy sod.

City are current reigning Champions of the PL and were unbeaten until 6 weeks ago despite huge injuries. This hindsight based reasoning isn't gelling with me tbh

I'll have to dig out an interview he did with someone who is on the board at the Carlyle Group who he shares links with. He starts talking about global investment opportunities, American politics in the Trump era, the pressure of West vs East against the UAE, the failures of globalism etc, talking in his role as Mubadala CEO. Shares as few anecdotes about the President and how it irritates him that he likes walking everywhere when he thinks. A puff piece story about building an American clinic in the UAE. Then, when its mentioned, he lights up and relaxes and smiles when talking about City. I get the feeling that we're his favourite job, almost like a release valve from the other stuff he does.

The lad left a UN conference in New York a few years ago to watch us play like Bournemouth at home or something then flew back afterwards.
