He is not a defensive midfielder like some think. He is far more similar to say a Ramires with better technical ability. He covers the ground well, is strong, fast and can link up play. I don't think he is world class, but adds energy to a team. Still only 27. He is not world class, but I think he would be a good signing depending on who you have lined up. If you have Barkley/Poga etc lined up then probably not.

Not a lot better, but much worse defensively. Charges around a lot but it's hard to say what he's good at. Others can disagree, but I don't rate him at all.

I think we've got to be a bit more wiser with our signings now. I'd love us to sign some top class playmakers, a bit like modric, who can do a bit of defending aswell. We've got fernandinho who's a decent all rounder but fernando is just an out and out defensive midfielder. Khedira would be a good addition if fernando wasn't here, but I do think khedira has got a bit more ability going forward. He really impressed me at the world cup for Germany, solid player. But I do think we should go for a player that would bring something new to the side. Maybe if yaya goes, id like to think he would be a good addition to the team. Add barkley too khedira and id be happy enough. Gundogan would be a class signing but his injury record isn't the prettiest. I think madrids midfield is one of the best I've seen in recent years. All hard working players who can do a bit of everything. Bit of a shame we didn't try get kroos in the summer.

One thing to keep positive about after Saturday's loss, is that we've got a very good summer ahead of us next year.
