Kian Breckin | On loan at Wycombe

I think McAtee definitely toughened up after a few months of Championship rough and tumble so hopefully it will also add another bow to Breckin's natural footballing ability

Not a great debut by the look of it, 0-2 down and subbed off at HT at home to Exeter.

I suspect he will be taken out of the firing line for a couple of games, the natives arent happy looking at SM.They arent on his back as such, but concerned he is no where near ready.

Gonna be a proper test of character for the kid, fingers crossed!

Struggled today, looked way out of his depth apparently.
Hes a young kid with a bit of growing to do and plenty of tricks to learn....going from eds to the hurly burly of league football is a huge leap.....but he has character and talent,I'm backing him to make a go of this loan

Hopefully it'll be just like McAtee just a bit of a slow start, before improving a lot as time goes on.

I reckon once he gets to grips with the physicality the men's game, and gets used to their obviously different style/tactics he'll come good.

Whatever happens he's at that age where he really needs game time it's up to him to step up, as Pep would say he'll just have to fight with courage and show his balls... even if Kyle Walker took the last part a little too literally.

Nice hit. That wall looks as though it’s about 20 yards back though haha

Wycombe fan here. It sounds like Breckin will be going back to you and out to Southampton. It sounds like some Man City fans are upset about it (if Twitter is anything to go by) but in the games I have seen him, he has just massively struggled with the physical side. It's not like we can't develop players - we have West Ham's starlet Freddie Potts, Killian Phillips from Palace and Dale Taylor from Forest, all of whom were much sought after as loanees, and they have all done really well once they acclimatized. Potts has a decent chance at being Player of the Season at this current trajectory.

It is just one of those things, I think - Southampton would probably be a better fit as a more technical side who don't have to deal with the added physicality of League One. Good luck to the lad - he seems to have a great attitude.

His first league start since the first game of the season, sounds like he did pretty well.

Doesnt look like we sorted another loan out for him which is a shame. He's too good to be playing EDS football again.

Had his loan cut short at Crewe short a few weeks ago because he couldn’t get a game. Second year in a row that’s happened to him - he looked such a good prospect at EDS level a couple of years ago but it’s looking increasingly likely that he’s not going to make it a senior level.
