Just a quick query - is there no longer a coin toss before the match to establish which end we start at?

Can't remember the last time we kicked off towards the South stand in the second half and it's starting to bug me a little!

I am a little biased as my seasoncard is situated in 118 but as the South stand generate a large proportion of the atmosphere at games it seems only fair we get a better view of the second half a bit more often! It would make a nice change anyway!

Thoughts?

Totally agree
Is it not an advantage to let away teams kick towards there fans second half?
Worth a try
CMON City

Dunno if there is a coin-toss anymore - I'm in the North Stand and they always kick to us in the second half;

Seemed a better atmosphere in the ground last night than the usual midweek games

They do still toss a coin but both teams seem to prefer to kick towards their fans in the second half. Not that often they decide to kick the other way. I can't remember any this season but there was a few occasions last season.

There is a coin toss.

I would suggest that the fact we do not have a recognised home end means that when the away side wins the toss, they see there being no advantage which ever way we attack the first half.

We always kick off the same way and its clearly our lucky end. I remember a similar situation at Maine rd for a while, on day we changed it and it just didn't feel right and we lost.
Keep it as it is.

We kick towards the North Stand in the 2nd half because that end is entirely City, whereas the South Stand is a split of away fans and home fans. Every team prefers kicking towards their own fans in the 2nd half.

Always think we should kick towards the south stand in the second half. Dunno why. Get a decent view of both ends where I am - CBL3. Seems tradition has been established.

Well there's more blues in the North stand, so we should get priority..:)

The Pompy 6-0 win I think we kicked towards the South Stand in the 2nd Half, can't remember it happening since though.

Sunderland won the toss at Liverpool the other night and swapped sides. Some of the liverpool team looked angry and the kop booed Sunderland because of it. Arrogance?

Anyway....shame it didn't work.

it has always been tradition at city to kickoff to a certain end, i remember the year we won the league in 68, the only two games we lost at maine road we kicked towards the platt lane end first half, which were man u and west brom, city always prefered to kick off towards the scoreboard end first and was approximatley 90% of the time?
