I don't think it's what Kidd said that was revealing, though I agree, he said all the right things in that "bloke next door" way of his, it was the look on his face. He looked tired, shocked and anxious, not for himself I think, but in a "How did it come to this?" Kind of way.
We'll never know what's been going on in the camp over the last few days, but by the look on Kidd's face, Mancini's departure and the loss of the FA Cup has had a profound and shocking effect on staff and players.
With all that, the team played well, admittedly it was only Reading, but some of the passing was sublime and the pace quickened.
