Kids/adults running onto the pitch after the final whistle

Are you sure it wasn't against law back then? Pretty sure it's always been part of the trespass laws.

Anyway we need to bring the innocence back.
No it wasn't the law back then
Trespass is a civil offence so "not against the law" The regulations that cover unauthorised entry on to the field of play are covered from 1991 under the football offences act
"It is an offence for a person at a designated football match to go onto the playing area, or any area adjacent to the playing area to which spectators are not generally admitted, without lawful authority or lawful excuse (which shall be for him to prove)"

The parents of that kid last night should be fined for pitch encroachment, the same thing happened on Sunday at the Everton match from the same corner, piss poor parenting encouraging your kid to run on the pitch probably for Facebook likes.
We're gonna cop for a fine from eufa and in this situation rightly so, what about the kids safety, he looked about 4, what if others followed suit and he got hurt, his parents would probably blame the club.

Didn't the parents know it was uncultured at the very least?

T.V cameras didn't show it here.
I did see what looked like somebody getting chased after on the pitch but the cameras turned away.

Yeah at the same time as the blonde kid with Silva there was an adult i think getting meshed by about 6 stewards near the centre circle. The cameras cut off quickly.

I watched on TV and thought to myself - no doubt someone will run on here at the end with so many superstars about. As others said earlier in the thread, it looks like there were attempts with Messi pre-game.

Grealish kicked a lot of this off by handing out shirts at the end of games early in the season- all well and good. just come to the side of the pitch.

The OG is that guy at the city bench block 126 with the Algeria flag who seat hops around and shouts at players...tries to be friendly but up to the same behavior every game..

Im not a parent but have 2 nephews aged 3 & 5. I wouldnt dare let them out of my sight - never mind getting handled by a lot of random stewards...!! Imagine the scramble trying to locate them after the match!

100% agree. It's totally irresponsible. Leaving aside the pitch encroachment issue for a moment, what sort of parent allows/encourages such a young child to do that alone ? Clearly an idiot.

Wow there are some miserable sods on here.

So what if kids wanna run on the pitch, it's nice to see passion and even nicer to see the players react positively. Kids worship these players. Grown men is a bit weird though.

If it is allowed to continue then you are going to end up with hundreds of kids running onto the pitch at the end of every game hoping to bag a players shirt.
