At this point an above average to good player at left back who is available for 25-30 matches a season is better than zero left backs for 0 matches.

Because he’s one of the best left backs in the league when fit. I think under pep he’d be really good.

Arsenal's game went up levels in switching Zinc for Tierney. Zinchenko starts ahead of him and even Tommisu a right back is now in front of him in the pecking order. He's a good traditional pacey left back who puts in crosses but can't play the inverted role Arteta wants. Assuming Guardiola also wants his left backs to play inside left tica taca, you won't be going for him.

Newcastle have been linked to him, which is probably a brilliant move for all parties involved if it comes off.
