I worked in Kiev in August 2009.
Watched an international friendly between Ukraine and Turkey as guest of the Turkish FA at the smaller stadium, it p****d down the whole game and I was soaked to the skin!
If we play there the atmosphere will be awesome!
A couple of points to think about:
1/ I flew in 3 times, 3 weeks running, each time it took me in excess of 2 hours at the immigration, total chaos, no queueing system and a total free for all.
2/ Read the internet for Kiev scams, I was the intended victim of one but was streetwise enough to get out of the situation, (link attached for the one that was tried on me.)
Basically a guy walks past you in the street, picks up a plastic bag full of money, asks if its yours, you are then supposed to share the money, next thing a guy runs up accusing you of stealing the money and a bogus policeman arrives relieveing you of the shared money, your own and all your cards!
