Kindle

Agree. No problem at all reading in the sun.
Tip: If going abroad on holiday and you have the model which can down load via Kindle wispernet and you fancy keeping up to date with your favourite British Newspaper, you can usually subscribe to a free 14 day trial on your Kindle to most of the papers and it downloads overnight and is waiting for you to read in the morning. Just cancel the offer when you get back.
In fact a Kindle is worth it just to take on holiday if like me you like to chill out and read by the pool . . . .no more having to fill your suitcase with loads of paperbacks and then ditching them at the Villa once read as you can't be arsed to bring them back home!

A publisher called Prologue Books is reissuing loads of vintage and long-lost pulp crime, thrillers, westerns and sci-fi on Kindle and has been giving away free e-books every week since earlier this year. They publish details of their freebie weekly on Twitter and their website. Well worth a look if you're into genre fiction.

There is one coming out on July 1st for £2.99 on Kindle called The Best of the Cutter.

It's from a site called the Daisy Cutter which is an online football magazine and its a collection of the finest 25 articles that have appeared on there.

There's a fantastic piece written in the immediate hours of Tevez's refusal to warm up in Munich and a so-so one penned by someone called Bimbohobo or something.

Also there's an audio version coming out on the same day.

I don't know why I'm promoting this book because I have no connection to it. What's it called again? I've no idea.

Also I hope people dont think that by mentioning on here that Ric and the mods are included in the acknowledgements section I'm - for some strange reason - trying to curry favour and allow this post to remain up.

Can I ask which model you have, I believe there are three different ones.
Is it worth buying the dearest version if you just want it for books ?
Cheers

Hiya i have the middle one it has wifi no 3g and no keyboard, dead easy to navigate and i can take it anywhere it is especially great for hols etc cause you can download guidebooks to virtually anywhere and dont have to lump em around with you.
the website i mentioned earlier is called e reader IQ co.uk. so google that and they email you everyday if you want with free stuff for kindles you can filter it by genre as well. I have had loads of stuff some good .. some not so good and a few utter shite, but a couple of real gems too.
