I remember how Charles and Diana actually became friends after their divorce. Both recognised it was healthier. It's just a shame they didn't have more time to build on that.

I agree that the media overload on Charles illness is a bit OTT. Yet imagine having to live your life in that bubble.
Sometimes I think that if that was me I'd just say "sod it" and go off and live quietly in luxury.
But there is a sense , no matter how the rest of us see it, of public service and duty with them. Especially his mother.
