After the fantastic talent we have been served up over the last couple of years i will stand by what i and many others firmly believe, this lad would walk into "any" City team and easily the best talent i have seen in a Blue shirt. His loyalty was amazing and unless we sign Messi then yep, he was and will be the best by a country mile. Ali, merlin etc wouldn't get near him for talent he was that good.

Cue the "he didn't do it at the very top level" comment and for those that merely suggest he was a very bright light in a poor few years watching the blues then you are doing the lad a huge disservice... imho if he would have gone to the scousers when they were chasing him then he would have been recognised as the best in the world.

Breathtaking is all.

"He leaves a trail of international defenders on their backsides" v Toon lol.

Watch it on mute.

That good I named a cat after him. The trouble was, other teams quickly realised that by stopping him you stopped us. He was also a bit...erm...greedy.

Still remember the joy he gave me though, one of my all time favourite players.

His shimmy and trickery was amazing Bobber, whoever he was up against he would take them on and lets face it, with some of the players he had around him i don't blame him for being greedy, i mean look at Adam Johnson with Jo and that was just the odd time they played together.. yep pure genius the little fella was with pin point accuracy and would walk in our team of late, walk in.

Just imagine what his transfer value would be today.

Without a doubt my favourite ever player and my happiest days of being a blue despite the shit we where in for the most part.

Would have gone on to be an all time great of football if he had joined a top club at a young age. He'd be in the Barca youth academy from the age of 8 if he was rising in today's world.

Him and Messi are basically the same player; with Messi obviously miles more developed and less raw than Kinkladze was.

He was a diamond in turd that we had

But he went to Ajax who were a top club at the time and couldnt get a game where he would have liked to have played as they thought Jari Litmanen was better so he got played on left wing
If he was actually as good as we think he he was he'd have walked into that team in his rightful position

Dont get me wrong I loved him his performance away at Oxford was amazing

But I dont think he was in the same league as the players we have now

I really wish people would stop saying about gio "if he was that good why did he do nothing after he left".

He got injured and lost that burst of pace which took him past people and it destroyed his magic.

I maintain that he was, for a couple of years, world class. The only players I can remember in my entire life who went past people like he did with close control were maradonna and gazza in his first couple of seasons.
