I really wish people would stop saying about gio "if he was that good why did he do nothing after he left".

He got injured and lost that burst of pace which took him past people and it destroyed his magic.

I maintain that he was, for a couple of years, world class. The only players I can remember in my entire life who went past people like he did with close control were maradonna and gazza in his first couple of seasons.

His talent was genuinely of the world class variety.

Was fortunate enough to be at the Oxford and Southend away games.

It's a shame he was surrounded by shite because he used to get targeted and there would be many games where he would be marked out of the game because he was our only creative player.

He was the type of player you had to build a team around because as proved when he moved to Ajax

Straight from kick off kinky runs with the ball and slips past the QPR defenders and gets taken out on the edge of the box. He gets up, dusts him self down and curls the free kick in to the top corner and Maine road went mental.

In my opinion he was the most talented footballer in Europe at his peak, truly world class. He's the best footballer at City I've seen in my lifetime, I saw King Colin in his comeback but sadly that cannot compare.
