the best goal i have ever seen by a city player against southampton at maine road, beat six or seven men on his own from our box, pure class , deserved better players around him, kinky is a legend

Any goal against the scum is priceless but the goal against the scum at OT on the 50th was so sweet!

But more so was our fans reputation on that day - god it made me proud to be a blue!

Fantastic goal.

And scored that day by a player who seemingly had the world at his feet ....... yet a player who totally lost his way once he'd left us.

The crowd must have stood and clapped for about 5 minutes after that goal - I remember it well. Fantastic moment and for me easily the best goal I've seen scored by a City player.

Gio was a shining light in very dark times and it's criminal he had to play with the utter rubbish he did. However for me his finest moment was in the 3-3 draw with Newcastle at Maine Road. Newcastle were chasing the title yet he gave there defence 'twisted blood'.

I remember my Dad saying at the game 'wow even Rodney Marsh and Peter Barnes weren't THAT good'
