Bert? Really? Thought that was Charlton Heston. Synonymous with the NRA. Came up with the line that the only way anyone would take his rifle would be from his cold dead hands.

Have to admire Kirk Douglas. Aside from an impressive body of work, was apparently an arrogant ego driven shit in his early years, but re-invented himself and stood up to be counted during the blacklist.
 
Some innings that 103 some great films as already mentioned,I liked him in gunfight at the ok corral,besides Spartacus and the Vikings also later on the comedy with Burt Lancaster tough guys not one of his best but quite funny,rest in peace Kirk ...
