Picked up some Club mint bars yesterday.

I've not had them for years and thought I'd give them a try for tonights game.

Anyway I decided to have a couple last night after a curry.....as a sort of After Eight substitute.

If they weren't in Club packaging I'd have not known they were what they were, very disappointing.

Getting a Jacobs Club where the coating process was slightly misaligned and you got a satisfying little chunk of chocolate at one end was one of lifes simple pleasures. The world is unnecessarily complicated these days.

I grew up on Club Biscuits- my dad was a Jacob’s rep and we had all the free samples we could eat!
In school holidays (70’s) the big Jacob’s truck would come down the street (it wouldn’t fit down there these days with cars parked on both sides) and me, my brothers and friends would help the driver unload, put all the boxes into the garage and then steam into them once the driver had departed!
