Anyone know if the MAG254 box is worth getting? Is the IPTV arrangement ok and also can you record multiple programmes at the same time? I ditched Sky recently and have an Openbox V8S which is okay but I would like something that combines a satellite box and a Kodi type set up, any advice would be very welcome

I would go into the ditching sky thread pal; there are a few blues who have bought these devices and will know more about them than me :)

Let's do things 1 step at a time, I first recommend installing spmc, do you know how to do that boss? :)

Never heard of spmc, but just read up on it - do you recommend it because it works better with the bluemoon build??
I'm about to install the latest version of bluemoon in our house (6 devices!) so may as well get them all done the same.

I recommend spmc purely because it will have better support in the future for android (Kodi on android is on its knees regarding support now) and is much more stable than Kodi, so yeah I'd give it a go mate :)

Depends what version you're on mate; the latest one is 0.3.2 :)

Currently in 0.2.2 is it easy to update?

Your best keeping Kodi on PC as it will still be supported. The reason for using SPMC on anroid is because the guy who used to work on the development of Kodi for Android has left the team :)

It's only designed for android; Kodi on a PC will be fine as it will still be fully supported on that platform :)

Loss of revenue due to a drop in visitors so server bills stacked up and pressure from law enforcement as a combined headache it seems.

Already use your excellent build on my PC, am going to put it on the firestick later tonight, time allowing. It is still on Kodi 15.2 Isengard with a tvaddons build, and i noticed that Kodi is now taking up over 3GB of the firestick's 5GB storage.. Have no idea what is happening there, it was 1.52GB a few weeks ago so time for a fresh start I think!

One general question i have on Kodi itself though, if anyone coudl be kind enough to enlighten on the workings, seems sometimes I try an endless numbers of streams and get the message 'failed to open' or no message but nothing loads up. Is this probably due to the fact my firestick is running an outdated version of Kodi, android compatibility, or just bad streams? Usually happens more in the castaway streams via adthenet, dimports etc, whilst the ZEMTV ones linking to actual channels like BT / SS1 tend to work but stutter for me. Don't get this issue on the PC running Kodi16.1 and your bluemoon build.
