Help required! Evenings viewing at risk!

I all. having got the nvidia shield last Thursday, installed bluemoon build, then installed the updated blue moon build a day later everything was perfect...

Today.. everything is buffering. No apparent issues with internet connection.

Please help. Wife is currently informing me what a waste of money the shield is.
Hey mate, can you try clearing the cache, purging packages and doing a speedtest?

I know you say your internet is fine but I have had my internet go down to 4mbps once even though it should be above 50! :)

Right then Mr aguerooooo.
He's a tough one for you pal.
I'm working away shit hotel so I brought a Samsung tablet put the build on it obviously. ..
But the WiFi is shit and if I watch over 3g or even WiFi the picture is ok..but the sound is crap.
Is there a way to download a film through kodi so I can watch it later.
Help I'm going mad

Make sure you always shutdown spmc/kodi just dont backout of it, also clear cache regular also turn the box of at night. Another thing you should do at least once a month is unplug your modem/router for 5 mins then switch it back on.

Haven't sat down and watched it but you can try this mate:

:)

I have found downloading via kodi to be really slow. perhaps better with a decent private torrent and client combo.

it is very easy to do though via kodi, from memory just go into exodus settings via add on menu, tick allow downloads and set download path to folder

Yeah fully agree with you sprout, (doing my best to not sound like a tool here) however I'm fairly confident goaters wouldn't be asking if he knew how to use torrents :)

showbox might be a better option for him then, pretty sure the badwidth is reduced somewhat since it is for mobile devices
..options options options

Could do with some tips, here. I've already got a FireStick with the Bluemoon build installed on it, and that's working fine. But I'm looking at getting a media player for my main room, but in order to get audio for the surround sound system, it would require an optical out port. Any suggestions as to what I should get, looking at spending around £50 tops?

Could you not use a Raspberry pi and then have optical audio from your TV mate? I'm sorry if that's a stupid question but I've never had a surround sound system :)
