Kodi/SPMC

They started off reasonably slow but the pace has really picked up over the last couple of days....I heard it was a lack of new boxes VM could get to customers was causing the issue if it was they seem to have sorted it now...all Sly HD sports will be gone on by the month end I recon

Gotta hand it to em...took em yrs to roll out the new boxs to Sky customers

Can one of you wizards out there give me a simplified answer? I currently have a motorised dish that gets me loads of channels from 0.8 to 28.2. The VU Solo box I use is also loaded with IPTV. I pay £150 per year for both facilities but this week both the satellite pay channels and IPTV went down. I rebooted the box and my router and the sat came back on but IPTV says access denied. I need to know is the IPTV doomed and what's the forecast for the satellite system? I also pay for Sky HD, I only use the "dodgy" box for games not on Sky and it's only away games as I go to all the matches at home, cheers in anticipation. Just another small question, are Sky moving to Internet broadcasts and eventually getting rid of the satellite dishes?

Hey mate, who's your IPTV provider?

IPTV at the minute seems the only viable option for HD sports, unless you have a motorised set up which you do
if your IPTV is down contact your provider, it could be your IPTV plugin needs updating it happens on my Zgemma when the Xtreme plugin becomes out of date I just delete the said plugin and then down load the new version then log back in and away you go

True mate...it does seem these changes that both Sky and VM have made to their set ups has cost them a fortune and cost can be the only reason both haven’t switched everything off....there is still quite a lot of channels still left on Sky granted it’s all SD and VM still has all content but HD Sky sports...so it shows that to change it all isn’t cost effective to either Sly or VM at this time

It's a good business plan tbf to them. I've already seen people saying they'll probably pay up as a lot of them are quite particular about the quality. (I don't particularly blame them)
IPTV can't match true broadcast quality at this moment in time sadly
IPTV is to hit and miss for some like you say but what’s left on card share and a decent IPTV sub does me I decided a while back I was not going to pay the ridiculous prices VM and Sly want...if they dropped it to £20/£30 per month every one would have legit TV I’m sure

But as you say mate there are many out there who can’t go back to SD especially with the new TVs 4K and what have you....they also want the reliability Sly and VM provide so will go back to legit set ups

Yeah I can't be doing with SD either lol, thankfully my IPTV provider is rock solid

Apparently flawless and some others were getting blocked at 7:20pm sharp on cl nights. The prem one is never that early. The cl order must have a different scope.
Interesting tee, perhaps it's because the agreement is more blanket approach for the champions league as it's spread over more countries? I'm just spitballing really :D

And the weird thing about the cl block was, fine with vpn, fine without vpn for 65% of users on multiple ISP's, 35% blocked without vpn on multiple ISP's, for instance I disabled my vpn and I was fine, my mate 3 miles away on exactly the same set up (sky) was blocked, but it wasn't a complete service block which you would normally expect, it was certain channels showing the match. Not had full details as yet how they did this but they said they could be somehow messing with ping, users were getting a spinning circle in the centre of the screen as if your ISP speed was struggling to stream it

Perhaps they were just trying to make it generally unstable instead of just blanket blocks for 90 mins?

It was absolutely spot on for most, I even purposely tried a crap vpn server only pushing 15mb and it ran fine, it's a strange one how they managed to disrupt some and not others on exactly the same isp, I'm fed from a server in lpool, as is my mate, both on sky yet he had the circle of death haha. He popped a free vpn on and it was sound

I imagine it's much more difficult for the Champions league to get it right. The premier league have had much more practice at blocking streams than the champions league have had. If they also have to do this across Europe (not sure if they just block through UK isps) then they'll be stretched thinly

The main guy at flawless was over watching things on weds night as the mods couldn't explain or had seen before what happened Tues night, he then confirmed he hadn't seen this before either, he's only mentioned at the mo about them somehow messing with ping, slowing it right down so the strms were unplayable for the 35%, and yes some in Europe had the same problem mate .

Understood, probably uefa just dipping their toes in the water

Ah mine isn't blocked because it's a smaller service, they are getting more impressive with their blocking procedures though
My IPTV supplier is also a small one I have 2 suppliers actually in different rooms on different devices so I can always get what I need to watch...I’m watching Leicester and Stoke in the living room on a Zgemma in my other room I have it on a LG TV using smart IPTV app this is the one playing up my supplier thought I might of been blocked but can’t of as I’m all systems go in one room but not the other...he’s reloading my playlist to my MAC address now so I hope that’s it

Yeah might be to do with your Mac mate, or alternatively your providers having server issues, always difficult to diagnose why but I go for it usually being issues on the providers end

Straight from the devs mouth, there's premium iptv channels in at the flix addon addon, at the flix extras section, then at the flix iptv. Not had time go through them but checked a few, working a treat

Don't shoot the messenger if they go tits up haha
Just giving this a bump in case it went unoticed with alot of posts coming through since, it had been taken down this morning so I messaged him, he said it was just a test but he's put them bk up now, nbcsn, tsn, sportsnet channels are fine so if your struggling for a 3pm kick off give it a go, the only change for the op is there's is no at the flix extras section now it's in the at the flix iptv section, he said it won't be up for long but should be fine today I imagine
