During the City v Salzburg match it dawned on me (god knows why)how many left backs we've had in the last few years with no-one standing out as a long term solution. Off the top of my head I can think of...
Pearce, Thatcher, Ball, Tarnat, Distin, Garrido, Lescott and Zabba who've all played left back but not shone as a 'solution' to our most problematic position. I'm probably missing a couple there too but from first impression I reckon Kolarov looks pretty good.
Opinions?
