name me one instance were a manager has ruled out a player and then got them. DO IT

and no redknapp crap pleeeaaaseee lol

mancini is italian and here in italy is very very usual to say "we are not interested in that player" while you are buying him :)

Mancio, are the Italian media linking us with a lot of players ? If so, do you feel this is due to our cash or a mixture of our financial situation and the fact that Mancini is manager ? Any news on Burdisso or others from Serie A ?

Cheers

ATM there are no news about burdisso , and nothing of really hot or credible about any other players who play here.
watching from italy it seem City is now running the spanish market , maybe in a second moment the italian market will come on.

City's market is followed with great interest here for the booth of mancini being italian and the team financial power

Though Corriere dello Sport is often inaccurate about matters connected with Juve and the two Milans, they are usually spot on when it comes to reporting the transfer dealings of the two rome clubs, SS Lazio and AS Roma.

It should be of interest to us all that it's been reported that we have placed a €18m (£16.5) bid for Kolarov this weekend.

Manchester City set to take on Real Madrid in race to sign Lazio star Alexander Kolarov

Manchester City are ready to battle Real Madrid for the £15million signing of Lazio left back Alexander Kolarov, according to reports in Italy.

Eastlands boss Roberto Mancini admitted his admiration for the 24-year-old and Lazio team-mate Mauro Zarate at the weekend, but insisted there had been no contact between the two clubs.

However, Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport believes that is about to change with a formal offer for the much-coveted Serbia international Kolarov, who has been earmarked by Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho as a cheaper alternative to signing Ashley Cole from Chelsea.

City have also been linked with a £25m move for Borussia Dortmund striker Lucas Barrios. AC Milan are also interested in the Argentina-born Paraguay international, according to German newspaper Bild.

City have strong links in the Bundesliga, having signed Vincent Kompany, Nigel de Jong and Jerome Boateng recently, while also trying to snare Wolfsburg's Edin Dzeko.
Meanwhile, one man expected to clinch his exit from Eastlands is Valeri Bojinov. Parma are set to meet City officials on Tuesday to clinch a permanent deal for the 24-year-old Bulgaria striker, who spent last season on loan at the Serie A club.
