they came up with shit like that a couple of weeks ago with city's recent and anticipated signings, emphasising how much profit the selling club had/would make on the deals. silva, for example, came through valencia's academy so all £26 million was profit for them out of city. funny how they've never mentioned the £28 million profit everton made out of the rags when they sold rooney, the £10 million leeds made on ferdinand, the £14 million psv made on van nistelrooy, the £19 million bayern made on hargreaves, etc, etc, etc.
