Manchester City's hopes of signing Aleksandar Kolarov have taken a knock after Lazio president Claudio Lotito denied reports the Premier League side had agreed personal terms with the player.
His response comes just hours after Il Corriere dello Sport opened the window, claiming Kolarov had agreed personal terms with the Citizens, and they would pay the Italians €18 million after holding talks with Lotito.
However, Lotito has spoken out and has rubbished the reports, claiming City have not reached the gateway to trade for the Serbia international.
"City? I don't think so. It's all totally false. All the news published about this is not true," Lotito told the press.
"The interest should be based on correct facts. Real Madrid? I repeat, we have not received any offers."
