Kolarov or Milner or Johnson?

Johnson - hands down! Should provide crosses and pace, and that element of "surprise" for the United defenders.

How many crosses did he put in at Liverpool in 90 mins? 1 great service that!

I'd use him as a impact player in second half!

This, SWP should get a chance in my opinion

With which leg? He was on the right mate.

If we played him on the left, he wouldn't have to keep stopping and cutting inside to get it on his left leg.

We can't play Johnson in front of Kolorov - it would be like leaving the door wide open on the left - but we can *and should, imho* play him on the left in front of a competent defender.

Vieira will play instead of Barry.

And Johnson will start.

Hart

Richards Kompany Lescott Zabaletta

De Jong Vieira

Johnson Toure Silva

Balotelli

Jesus, already having visions of Giggs running in to the box and Vieira hacks him down, giving them a penalty

Mancini will play De Jong, Yaya and Barry

I always wonder where the impression that Johnson can cross comes from :? Certainly not from him doing so at City. And I have seen him a few times play on the left, and he still seldom puts in crosses. Strangely when on the left he actually cuts inside just as much. Watch the Juventuss game if you disagree.

Adam Johnson is a dribbler with an average to poor cross on him. People keep blaming the side he is on. Meireles player onf the left for Liverpool and manage at least 3 deadly crosses. One found the back of our net. Good crossers cross. PERIOD. Even if you have to cutback to your dominant foot.

Crossing is an art that requires a bit more than just the technical ability to put the ball in the middle. Your movement, the quickness of your decision, your positioning, your vision, and the intelligence to pick what kind of cross will be appropriate, all plays a role in how good of a crosser you are. Johnson cannot be said to have all these tools in abundance. Frankly the only crosser tool he has, is the ability to take a man on. And yes while he is very good at that, we shouldn't assume all the other factors are present (or absent). Let him show us.

I think it'll probably be Milner, there were a couple of games where he and Zabaleta played on the left and looked like they had a good understanding, might see that again. Johnson never turns up against the good teams and Kolarov is playing very badly at the moment.

-----------------Hart---------------

Zabba---Kompany---Lescott---Kolorov??

---------De Jong------Youre----------

-----------------Milner---------------

--Johnson-----------------Silva-------

Milner for me in front of the 2 other midfielders, better engine he will run all day hopefully he can prove he is better in the centre than on the wings

For me the choice is between Milner and AJ , Kolarov will not and shouldn't play. Left wing is somewhere he can't play , he has no pace which limits the amount of crosses he would put in and he has no skill to beat a man . He has one trick which allows him to come inside , but it never works. Kolarov played the last game at Old Trafford and he got subbed because he was just too ineffective. Milner and AJ will fight it out for the position on the wing, but who plays depends on who plays upfront. If Dzeko plays then Milner could get the nod due to the fact he has a better delivery than AJ . But if Mario starts AJ will get the nod because we will play our game on the ground and the front three will have to be technicaly gifted . If it were down to me , I would pick AJ as he does more and creates more than Milner. I know he is effective off the bench but Milner would do nothing on the wing against their full backs . AJ has also talked himself up saying he likes it when he is under pressure , i think this game is meant for him to step up to the plate.

To be honest, we should try walking before we can run. Hoofing it across the pitch would do for starters. We don't seem to do much of that even.
