agree with this mate.kola has looked good in pre-season but does struggle against wingers with pace so clichy for me too.

Think Kolarov could play forward quite a bit this season. He was putting some fine balls into the box during pre season Dzeko can feed of him. Don't see why we can give this a try :) Come on blues 4/5 tonight please :)

Absolute bullshit! Kolarov completely nullified his side of the pitch yet again at Wembley. He did it against Utd in the semi and Stoke in the Final.

His crosses may not have been great in the CS but he was quality in terms of defending

If the boss picks Kolarov over Clichy then it's obviously because he is the one impressing more in training and fits better within his tactics,i don't see where you're coming from.

This thread had some sense to it, until the bit where you came in and said " and [Kolarov] fits better within his tactics". ie the fella we just bought doesnt fit into the manager's tactics.
Im not saying you're wrong, but if you're right then it says a lot about Mancini's muddled thinking and tranfer policy...............................im standing by for fireworks now.

I thought Kolarov was absolutely wank last season but he has looked a yard quicker and more solid in pre-season so wouldn't be surprised or too bothered if he gets the nod tonight. If he goes back to strolling around like it doesn't matter though, I'd hope Clichy would replace him pretty quickly.

winnning a lot of trophies in italy doesnt matter,when you continue to trust players who r wank and keep other half on the bench who u bought and they dont seem to fit the picture,when they are as good or better than them and turn the game instantly and when they should have been playing in the 1st place.

he continued here from his preseason going in arsenal and players dont need team hug time and preseason to get their slot.They do their things on their own and clichy is certainly that type of player,.

Bit strong to go and call Kolarov 'Wank'.... he's better than most previous left backs I have seen at the club, Tiatto, Jordan, Matt Mills, Bridge, Danny Mills (Occasionally) etc..... Now THEY were/are Wank (OK good enough at the time, and for what leagues and positions within those leagues we were) if you honestly think Kolarov fits into that bracket, then you should seriously consider giving your head a wobble!
