The good news is he's slightly better than Bridge the bad news is we wont be putting in a bid for a really good left back in Leighton Baines. Still, at least we're moving in the right direction.
Why are people moaning after one game? He is a good defender, fine he was slightly at fault for the first goal and could have got in the way a bit more. But he has a wicked shot from range on him, he puts in a good low speedy cross and he is usually good with 1 on 1s. Its good to have an over lapping fullback who can cross them in pretty well. WHEN he scores a screamer the same people slagging him off will be raving about him. I really wanted him to score last night to shut the blue next to me who was slagging him off the whole game.
I'd have Kolarov over Bridge anyday.

He is a very good player and usually when a fullback is so good at going forward they are shit defensively . But Kolarov is an excelent defender , except tonight wasn't his best performance , but it is encouraging that whenever the opportunity comes around to take a shot , he is not afriad to do so . A good signing who can only get better
Thought he was OK last night. Could have easily got a goal and for all the criticism of his crossing he almost won us a penalty with the ball into Jo that they handballed. Also thought he was by far the best corner taker. Deep, high balls with pace. Should have done better to keep the cross out for their first goal though

Nothing has impressed me too much about Kolarov yet, of course he needs time but I don't see anything that suggests he's anything other than just competent at his best and not quite as wayward as bridge at his worst.

He was at fault for the first goal ,but do not forget he has been unlucky with injury and a dubious sending off , he is in a new country in a new league ,he is already our best left back by far and will get better.The likes of Real madrid were after him and he is only young
