Really confused now with who Id like as first choice. Kolorav has really improved and is hard as nails but Clichy gives us some pace down the wings.

Kolarov for me not everytime, but close. I also rate Clichy

Two reasons.. one its a friendly, two Clichy hadnt played since first half against LA Galaxy.

Its nice to have different type of left backs.

I think Lescott's header was assisted by SIlva,not Kolorav.
But i for one noticed that he was one of the FEW people actually playing with intensity!
thought he did a great job. my personal choice for starting LB this season.

he was ok today, pretty steady. he goes missing sometimes though. he let nani run past him in the second half luckily he didnt receive the pass. think he lacks concentration sometimes.

but iv noticed that he looks a bit quicker this season. anyone else noticed this?

I'm pretty sure that was Adam Johnson that Smalling made a fool of.

One of the key reasons for getting Clichy, no? To make Kolarov fight for his place?

Persoanlly I still hold faith in the guy comming good for us. Hopefully the competition with Clichy will bring out the best in him.

I think that ligament injury (i think) at the start of last season was worse than we thought, it seems to have gone now!

Even though Clichy has come in, think Kolarov deserves another season to prove himself. Last season he wasn't great, but I hope having competition at LB will spur him on.
