Yes Clichy is always going to be first choice and Kolarov isn't the best defender, but he's a great squad player. Not to mention his free kicks are quality. He got us out of jail v Napoli and nearly sparked a miracle v United at home with them. Plus the Sunderland goal he scored was so, so key. Having a squad player that can take advantages of set pieces and long shots is really useful imo.
also gets a lot of assists. been watching all the goals (league and cups) and he plays a big part in far more goals than I remember, and I'm a big fan of his!
