Clichy should play every game. Evra can do it for the rags so why can't he. Or why won't mancini allow him to. Kolarov's defending is a joke.

I actually think, apart from his lack of pace, Kolarov is a good defender. It just so happens that pace is key in this league. That is why top teams are looking at him cos he's a good player.

I believe kolarov would make a great wide midfielder for us. He can deliver such a good cross (one of the best crossers in world football imho) that he really doesnt need backs of pace. Why he isnt used there more often as our plan b I do not know. Get the ball out to him and get him whipping balls into the box.

Kolarov is quite unique:
He's not really good enough of a defender as he is too slow and his positioning and anticipation could be far better.
As a winger again he's too slow and rarely gets passed his defender.
he has one heck of a cross though and potentially the hardest shot in football today (though he rarely uses pure power these days, opting for precision instead).

I don't know what to do with him, but I like him a lot, and everytime he plays I'm waiting for one of his thunder-shots to hit the net.

I almost wonder if he might be more successful in a central role. He is tall and strong, but as you say he doesn't quite have the pace or acceleration for the wider positions. It really is a long shot but do anyone think he could be converted to a CB or DM/CM?

They scored one fluke Rooney header, and then got to play against 10 men... for 65 plus minutes, United scored no goals against our 10 men side, even though they were desperate to revenge the 6-1 drubbing. Kolarov was epic for the balance of that game. He is not the best defender, but to say "can't defend" is laughable.

Did you see what Valencia did to him, they should of had a penalty aswell? He´s a liability, going forward he´s great espially against lesser teams. But he´s a shit defender which is sad. Against wingers with pace and skill he´s found out!! As a fullback you must be able to DEFEND and in my opinion he´s not good at it.
