Kolo Says Mancio Here To Stay - 4th or Not

it must be difficult for some man city players because if you do finish 4th then how many off those players can guarantee for certain they will be in the managers plans next year, as im sure you will go after 11 better players if you can get them as money isnt the issue, ie if buffon become available then id expect you to be 1st in the queue as he is a better keeper than given. professional pride should want to finish 4th but some footballers dont think like that

Look at Bellamy's body language when he walks past Mancini........

I noticed that. It was the same in the last game. And Tevez's was too.

This is the Hughes situation all over again mate, it really is.

What do you expect? Toure to do a interview saying we havnt got a clue but i'll tell you this, a few of us hate him and the rumours are he is a gonner?

It is nothing but spin and until our owners release a statement on his future, the rumours will continue.

Players are rolled out daily to say nice things that normally mean fuck all.

Obviously anyone with any media nous knows this to be true.

Pidge, you disappoint me.

Just fed up with all the speculation DD. I want a manager who isn't the subject of dailt speculation he is to be replaced, and replaced, (in my opinion), by lesser managers if the likes of Rijkaard are to be believed to be true. Bobby Manc should be left alone to manage the side for the 3 years he apparently has left.

I couldnt agree more mate but just as in the Hughes situation, only the club and owners themselves can stop it. Us sat here debating it proves that something is going on.

There's nothing wrong with those sentiments matey.

But don't see a trite little interview like this as evidence of anything because it isn't.

Despite the fact that Bellers has been great at times this season and none of us can doubt his work rate. I don't think we can put too much stock in his views or opinions. Since day one he's been seen as something of a nob both on and off the field. He doesn't seem to have many mates in the game and he's publically shat on a fair few of his ex team mates and managers.

I wouldn't pay any attention the guys views or opinions to be honest. He doesn't like anyone except himself so let him get on with it.

Sorry if this offends anyone, but this isn't the Take That forum and posters with weird attachments to players are going to get their feelings hurt before long anyway.

I admire your stamina DD but again you resort to the hurtful remark.
I take it you attribute absolutely no integrity to anyone who does not share your view that Mancini is a willing seatwarmer for Jose.

Looks like he's muttering something as he goes past too.

As much as I love Bellers, he needs to be putting a lid on it and just getting on with his job.

I hate my gaffer with a passion, but I wouldn't show him any dissent (not to his face anyway!).

To be fair mate we all know players and managers talk utter shite all the time. How many times does a player 'commit' himself to one club and then 24 hours later sign for someone else.

Players and managers say a mix of what they want people to hear and what they're advised to say. No slight on Kolo whatsoever, it's just the nature of the game.

Whatever is said is proven time and time again to mean absolutely nothing whatsover.

What's hurtful about that?!?!?!?

It is not opinion, it is fact, that little player interviews like this are meaningless. What's he going to say "I don't like Mancini?" or "We all want a bigger name"?

Remember Hughes saying Dunne was a huge part of his plans, then selling him? Robinho wanting to be at the club for ten years? I could go on and on.

You tell the press what you are supposed to tell them, unless you want to be dropped and/or fined. Especially if you are club bloody captain.

It really isn't hard to understand.

but your mate Noel said on Talksport

“I’m not sure about Mancini, well, tactically he doesn’t seem to have it for me, but I think until they get somebody like Mourinho or Hiddink, that can inspire the players then, you know, I think they’ll always be looking.

“You wouldn’t hear any players coming out and criticising Mourinho’s methods, would you? Cos' they’re in awe of him.”

He added: “I think (Mancini) is gone at the end of the season, you don’t give someone a six month contract, do you, you know what I mean?”

you can't have it both ways DD

So why not give the man the benefit of the doubt? If he says Mancini's staying why should we automatically assume that he isn't?

In much the same way that you refuse to believe that what Kolo's saying is true, ie nothing more than the usual club propoganda and cliched old soundbytes, how about seeing things a little more positive and accepting that what he says is indeed fact?

After all, it could well be fact that he's staying.

The only logical approach to listening to footballers and the like is to not actually attach any significance to their words what so ever.

I said earlier - this is evidence of nothing positive or negative.

It's just a bogstandard little toe-the-party-line Talking Head piece.
