Kolo Toure

Don't see why not they played at different clubs for years, they have been together at City for two years and have won FA cup and prem title together. I wouln't sell him but hey we can't stand still and not on sentiment, if he goes he goes with all best wishes.

There was a lot of speculation during the season that we may sell Kolo this summer. Personally I thought he played well when required however he was hardly involved towards the end.
Does anyone have any insider knowledge about Kolo's future?

He isnt good enough, and never was. Probably already been told he's not wanted and that might be a clue as to why there are suggestions his brother is 'unsettled'............................

Kolo was the only guys not celebrating when City scored....I am not sure who is was, but some City guy comes over and hugs Kolo and then he reacts to the goal.

99% certain he is leaving...definately past his best and given the money we have wasted on him, would have been better to have kept Dunne.

I really like Kolo. Hope he stays. He's 31, or so? Squad player for another year or two, win a ton of trophies :p , and retire. Maybe take a role at the club.

Did you see him on the parade bus? They couldn't get the trophy off him. He was certainly celebrating the title and he didn't interview like a man who was about to leave. I wouldn't assume one way or the other on whether he stays or goes but he needs to stay just for the song value;-)

May-be he was in shock at the goal.....happy to retract my earlier statement.

What a load of nonsense...

Dunne? seriously ? Meh

Are you really saying that Kolo Toure has been a good / value for money signing for City.
Other than keeing his brother company, Kolo has not delivered on the pitch in a consistent manner.

Irrespective of his drugs ban, his general performances have been very average. Terrible in the air and pretty poor when playing it out from the back.

I think he may well be off, and fair play if he does, by leaving least he'll be showing some desire for the game unlike Bridge.
Kolo has had alot of critiscm whilst at City, and some of it rightly so, and I know this season he didnt feature much but I actually think he performed well when called upon.

I'd like him to stay, thought he did okay when covering for Kompany and Lescott and also showed he can play the attacking right back role as well.

Any CB coming in would realistically be third choice, so why not simply keep Kolo? Keeps his brother happy as well no doubt.

If we go further in the cup competitions next season, and I think we will, then there will be plenty of starts for Kolo.

agreed

looked good bombing forward as a RB too!

What will happen to him? I see on transfermarkt.de that his contracted until 2013 summer.

If he stays next year he will leave on free next summer. (Same as De Jong)

Could we get at least 5 m pounds for him? He is around 100k per week or more.
Could be 5 m income with the fee and 5 m less wage paid out.
Could his selling interference with Yaya? He was a big part for Yaya to come to City. Would Yaya beat up Mancini for selling his brother?:)

If we are looking for a top class CB Kolo's playing time nearly zero next year.

Seems to be a nice guy and good attitude but I think its pretty certain we will be signing a cb add to the fact rekik is impressing I think his days are numbered. If it causes no problems with his brother I would try and flog him to somewhere like psg where we could around 5/6mill.

Well Anzhi wanted him in January but we had no cover so wouldn't sell and they bought Samba instead. Now Clueless at QPR is trying to bring Samba back already so if that goes through, Anzhi might go for Kolo again? Last chance to sell him now really, surely we will not offer him a new contract on his big wages?

people are not permitted to critics without justify their claims,if u think kolo is poor in the air what Lescott too.is absolutely fantastic with the ball never panics when's got the ball and he never passes when is team mates are marked like glue.

If we're talking about defenders being moved on then Savic, Boyata and Cunningham should be out the door first. TBH I would sell all 4 and buy Martinez and Kelly.
Boyata? Bollocks. Have you even watched him play?
Savic needs to be sent out on loan, not sold ffs.

And bollocks to Kelly.

As someone else said when Savic plays its like a bomb scare the rest of the team panic whenever he's on the ball. He is not good enough for us now and is no way ready or will ever be ready to play CB for us. Yes he's young but so is Hummels. As for Cunningham if he was gong to make it with us it would have happend by now. Kolo can go on a free next year so it's a case of give him a new contract or sell and at his age I can't see the former happening. Boyata has not improved one bit from what I saw of him last season even when playing alongside Cahill. What's the point in us continually loaning these players out. If we can get some money back for them and use the funds to buy a player that is actually going to be in the squad and be of use to us during a long and hard season.

Kelly has been very good at RB for Liverpool when he has not been injured and suits our style of play as he likes to get forward. I think in time he will become a very good CB and he is English which is something that we lack and which is already causing problems with the size of the squad we can have for CL

So it's not all bollocks as you call it.
