Kompany calls UEFA charge a "joke"

They will no doubt come up with another variation on corruption depending on how they deal with this. David Dein was right last week - ask anybody in the street what they think about the stinking sewer that passes for football governance, and they will come up with one word - CORRUPTION! Carry on Gianni, while yer boss is suspended and his mate Blatter is under the micro, come up with another 'judge, jury and hangman solution'!

I think UEFA have badly miscalculated on this one. I'm guessing that they didn't realise when the booing started and assumed it was for "trivialities" like FFP, the bent coeffiicent system and bent officials. None of these, whilst factors in our general loathing of UEFA, were the cause for the start of the booing. Now that our black captain has highlighted what it was all about and our multiple African POTY has been frequently racially abused in CL matches it puts them in a very, very bad place. I'm guessing the charge will be dropped and whatever protests from fans that take place in future will be ignored. If they pursue this they could find themselves seriously in breach of several fundamental European Human Rights Laws.

RE there being no charge yet.

I think the booing was flagged up in a report but to date no decision to do anything about it has been taken by UEFA however they have not clarified anything. The incident in Kiev on the same night is progressing and will end up being an embarrassingly small fine. I guess they are just going to let it go however it will get a lot of coverage again this week when there will be more booing at grounds across Europe not just us in Seville.

Who else will be booing?

It's going to be discussed at a meeting in a couple of weeks or so. Nov 19th I think. At that point they'll decide whether to take disciplinary action or not.

I don't see your point, are you saying you doubt it was reported at all?

yes, it surely been reported.. most likely by match officials but the fact there is nothing on the disciplinary page of UEFA website means they have put it to bed without doing anything

No hearing date is been fixed or announced, I truly believe UEFA decided to don't move forward after media from all over the world covered the story and laughed last them

I thought it was the chairman of the Icelandic FA that reported the booing or something? And because of that they are obliged to at least discuss it at the next meeting they hold. It doesn't mean they will take any proceedings further, it could be as much as "so the booing? Nothing to see here". We shall see I guess.

They are discussing it on the 19th,what they decide may depend on what we do tomorrow night, the away support will all boo i'm sure of that

Well said Vinny. It also shows how stupid those comments on here were about booing the anthem having a negative effect on the players before the whole UEFA charge cropped up. They all knew what it was about, and they were the individuals that suffered first hand from the racial abuse, if anything it would of spurred them on. Glad the general bluemoon consensus wasn't shared by the match goers on this one.
